[KinoSearch] Thread Safety

The documentation says KinoSearch is not thread safe, but is it process 
safe?

I'd like to know:
- Can multiple index searchers read the index 
files at the same time?
- Can an index writer edit the index while 
searches are ongoing?
- What happen if multiple index writers try to 
edit the index at the same time?

I'd like to use KinoSearch in a web 
app for searching a repository of files classified by tags.

It should 
work like this:
1. the user selects the tags which describe a file ,
2. 
the file is copied in the repository and the tags are passed to 
KinoSearch as they were the content of the file.

So I am wondering 
what happens whern many people try to upload  a file at the same time.

Do you think using KinoSearch is a viable solution?
