For me:
. Basic introduction for those not in the know.
. Query syntax.  Because it's flexible, describe the default syntax, and optional syntaxes.
. Creating a schema -- the best way to do that for various cases.  (Eg. more efficient storage versus less efficient storage with context, what option(s) to use for those cases...)
. Any gotchas -- (win32 bug example, solution, build from svn tree for now, large indexes (>4gig) fail - solution - split into multiple parts, then iterate a search over multiple indexes... others?)
. Common errors 
. That it's "ok" to use the dev version of the search engine.

I would be happy to edit / review any presentation that's created... :-)
