Possibly.  That would imply that you're using a persistence mechanism  
a la FastCGI/mod_perl (so the classes don't get reloaded and the  
mkdir logic doesn't get re-executed) and that there can be a long  
enough time between creation of Searchers that /tmp/ 
kinosearch_lockdir doesn't get touched and tmpwatch sweeps it.

Sounds like a bug, but one that moving the lock dir in 0.20 should  
have resolved.
